On Sept 6th, the after hours shopping extravaganza Fashion’s Night Out celebrated its fourth year in cities all over the world hoping to restore consumer confidence and boost the economy of the fashion industry.
Having already explored uptown and meatpacking last year I chose to cover Soho and Nolita this year. There were floods of people everywhere, and one could barely walk down and make it down Broadway without getting trampled or stepped on. Even my favorite streets like Green and Mercer were packed with mobs of people, food trucks and beer cans. Unfortunately I made it too late to the Opening Ceremony event but got to enjoy a lot of really cool stuff along the way. Here are the highlights and pictures…
Our first stop, Zaafar jewelry presentation, created by twin sisters Nadia and Saadia Zafar. The collection’s intricate pieces are not just accessories but can boldly make the outfit.

Next stop was Atrium on Broadway for a Rock n’ Roll inspired #FNO event. Clients got tattoos by Jes Irwin, make over’s and Marky Ramone’s meatballs.

Our team continued down Elizabeth St in Nolita where we popped in to see the new We Are Handsome collection at Condor.
Passed by WESC to enjoy some beats from DJ Stretch Armstrong
We eventually caught up with talented music photographer Adela Loconte who just caught La Sera perform live at Helmut Lang
(soho atmosphere)
and finally I ended the fun and hectic evening with friends at Electric Room who were celebrating the Futura’s Future Shock after party.
